“I’m running across France to challenge my mind, body, and soul, inspired by the timeless philosophies that celebrate human endurance and resilience. Nietzsche said, ‘He who has a why to live can bear almost any how,’ and this journey is about discovering my ‘why.’ It’s a test of pushing beyond perceived limits and finding meaning in the struggle.

Through the lens of stoicism, as Marcus Aurelius wrote, ‘You have power over your mind—not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength,’ I see this run as an opportunity to focus inward, mastering my thoughts and emotions amidst external challenges.

The Japanese concept of ikigai—finding purpose in the intersection of what you love, what you’re good at, and what the world needs—informs my desire to live fully and intentionally through this experience.

Finally, this journey embodies the spirit of resilience celebrated by Viktor Frankl in Man’s Search for Meaning. He emphasized that adversity can lead to profound self-discovery, and I want to use this run to embrace discomfort and emerge stronger, more self-aware, and deeply connected to the world around me.”
